Learn to Henna Workshops by Dragonfly Designs:

Summary: Expand your sense of history and culture by learning about the ancient art form of henna. This 3 hour workshop is a combination of discussion and hands on practical work. Each participant will leave the workshop with a stack of wonderful supplies and information (session fees include ALL workshop materials). Some of the great tools you will receive include a comprehensive booklet, a Dragonfly Designs Henna Starter Kit, design practice sheets, a batch of paste we will mix up together in class, and much more. I will provide ready-to-use Dragonfly Designs Henna Cones and additional hand crafted paste with which to practice filling applicators and to practice designs, and a surplus of wonderful tools for you to use! This is a class intended for beginners, to familiarize you with henna and its uses - and is always a fun time!

History and traditions of henna
Dangers of black henna & how to identify it
Basic design styles
How to mix paste from fresh powders, filling & making applicators
Application techniques & aftercare
Practice time
Resources, supplies & support

Prerequisites: No previous artistic or henna experience is required. Anyone can learn the basics of henna mixology and application. Please do bring along a fun attitude and a willingness to participate - oh, and some patience would also be an asset!

Location: Various across Canada.

Duration: Course runs 3-4 hours in length. Please arrive 10 - 15 minutes early, to settle in!

1. Payment: Pre-payment in full is required to reserve your seat. Payment can be made by either PayPal (see buttons below) or by Interac Email Money Transfer, if you prefer.
2. Cancellation info: In the unlikely event that a class is cancelled by Dragonfly Designs, you will receive a full refund (100%) of the workshop fees that were submitted. Should you not be able to attend, you will receive a full refund (100%) up to 72 hours before start time of class. Cancellations received after that time (72 - 24 hrs before start time of class) will be subject to a 50% refund of fees. There will be no refunds for cancellations within 24 hours of start time of class or for anyone who does not show up for the workshop.
3. Age requirements: This session is geared to adults, however children 10-16 are welcome to attend if they are accompanied by an adult.
